WC - School of Operational Planning

The Union Army War College
School of Operational Planning

Responsible: Maj. Gen. Mike Kaulbars, Commandant

At the School of Operational Planning, Federal officers can obtain information relevant to specific scenarios. This includes trategy guides, which are written by officers with considerable experience on a certain field. They describe a promising approach to the scenario in question, but of course not the only possible approach. Battle reports relate the course of one specific battle or part thereof, but nevertheless usually contain information that is relevant for other officers fighting on the same field. Finally, Miscellaneous comprises scenario-relevant material which falls in neither of those categories, like a list of map errors, or little vignettes describing small actions or tricks during a battle.

Contributions are always welcome, and should be addressed to the Commandant. Most wanting at the moment is material on the HPS Civil War Battles series (Corinth engine), and on custom scenarios.
