In order to effect a rapid suppression of the present Rebellion, the War College has embarked on an effort to gather intelligence on active Rebel officers. This intelligence will be used to create profiles of these officers, as a guide to loyal Union officers encountering them in the field for the first time.

The assistance of all Union officers is requested. You may participate by entering information on Rebel officers whom you have battled through the form below. Reports are confidential. Completed profiles will be available to Union officers registered with the Intelligence Department. Thank you for your help.

For significant contributions to this intelligence gathering effort, the Bureau of Military Information awards the Sharpe Medal.

In addition, we are now announcing the launch of a new section to the Bureau of Military Information which we hope will be both popular and informative to all officers. Everybody in the club develops relationships with certain Rebs, (Hey, they're not all bad!) and has a short (sometimes very short) list of favourite opponents. We are inviting you to nominate your favourite opponent(s) and provide a short thumbnail sketch of each, together with the reasons you like playing them. This can be because of skill, role playing, humourous nature, or just downright nice guy attitudes. Whatever the reason you like playing them, we want to hear about them. It doesn't matter what rank or experience level they are - if they're good to play, we want to hear about it!

We will endeavour to publish these here at the Bureau of Military Information and hopefully thereby provide a list of those of our comrades in grey who go the extra mile in providing fun and enjoyment. If we get multiple responses for the same Reb officer, all will be printed and available. Hopefully this will be both informative and entertaining reading, and will prove useful in choosing opponents in the future.
